The 20th Batumi International Art-house Film Festival (BIAFF) will take place in Batumi from 19–26 September 2026, marking two decades of the festival’s commitment to independent, auteur and art-house cinema. Organized by Batumi Art-house “Argani”, BIAFF will once again bring filmmakers, film professionals and audiences together in Batumi for a week dedicated to contemporary cinema and international cultural exchange.

Over the years, BIAFF has developed into an important meeting point for filmmakers and cinema audiences in Georgia and the wider region. Its 20th edition continues this tradition, bringing together an international selection of films alongside opportunities for audiences and professionals to engage with the people behind them.

Film submissions for BIAFF 2026 are now open. Filmmakers can submit their work for consideration in the international full-length and short film competitions, as well as the festival’s non-competition programmes.

The submission deadline is 25 August. Detailed information about the submission requirements and application form is available on the official BIAFF website. Filmmakers are invited to review the requirements and submit their work for the festival’s 20th anniversary edition.
