Synopsis
Abby, a young geologist, accepts a dangerous assignment in the remote Georgian wilderness in the hope of earning enough money to pay for an experimental treatment for her terminally ill sister. On her journey home, the helicopter carrying her crashes in the mountains, leaving her alone in an icy and unforgiving landscape. Her only apparent lifeline is John, a mysterious American pilot who contacts her by radio and claims to be stranded nearby. As he guides her towards safety, Abby becomes increasingly uncertain about who—or what—she can trust. Her physical struggle for survival gradually becomes a psychological confrontation with grief, guilt, and reality itself, forcing her towards an impossible choice.

Hugo Keijzer
Hugo Keijzer is a Dutch writer and director who worked for more than twenty years directing commercials before moving into feature filmmaking. He has directed more than two hundred commercials for international brands as well as the short films Prosopagnosia, Denham Psycho, and Éclair. His science- fiction survival thriller The Occupant, developed from an earlier short prologue, became his feature-film debut and had its world premiere at SXSW London in 2025. Keijzer’s work combines high-concept storytelling with psychological suspense and emotionally driven characters, often using genre conventions to explore identity, grief, perception, and the unstable boundary between external reality and a character’s inner experience.
