Synopsis

In search of inspiration for her new novel, Sylvie spies on her neighbors across the street. When she hires young Adam to help her with her daily routine, she has no idea that he will turn her life and her work upside down, until the fiction she had imagined surpasses the reality of them all.

Asghar Farhadi

Asghar Farhadi is an Iranian director, screenwriter, and producer, born in 1972. He began making short films before directing his first feature, Dancing in the Dust, in 2003. International recognition followed with About Elly (2009) and A Separation (2011), which won the Golden Bear at Berlin and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His films The Past (2013), The Salesman (2016), Everybody Knows (2018), and A Hero (2021) further established him as one of contemporary cinema’s leading filmmakers, with The Salesman earning him a second Academy Award. Farhadi is known for morally complex dramas in which ordinary decisions gradually expose hidden truths, conflicting perspectives, and fragile relationships.
