Masters’ Collection

BIAFF is pleased to present the Masters’ Collection, a special programme bringing together works by acclaimed filmmakers whose voices have made a lasting contribution to contemporary cinema. As part of the festival’s 20th anniversary edition, the collection celebrates established auteurs and invites audiences to encounter films shaped by distinctive artistic visions and decades of cinematic experience.

The Masters’ Collection offers an opportunity to discover works that have resonated internationally while exploring the enduring themes, questions and cinematic languages of their creators. Bringing together different generations, countries and filmmaking traditions, the programme reflects the richness of world cinema and the continuing evolution of auteur filmmaking.

For BIAFF, the collection is also a way of creating a dialogue between the history and present of cinema — bringing recognised masters together with the new voices represented across the festival programme.
