Synopsis

Every autumn, a white caravan of shepherds drives its flocks towards distant winter pastures. Young Gela no longer wants to continue the harsh nomadic life of his father and ancestors; he dreams instead of the city and a settled future. During the journey he meets Maria, and the two fall in love, but Gela’s desire for another life places their relationship before a difficult choice between tradition, love, and personal freedom.
