Synopsis

A young Georgian peasant, Siko, leaves his family and travels to America to earn money as a circus horseman. During his absence, tragedy strikes his home and his lonely wife Pati comes under increasing pressure from a neighbour. When Siko finally returns, the family and social tensions that have accumulated in his absence lead towards a devastating conclusion.
