Synopsis
A legendary Georgian choreographer prepares to stage his final Khorumi, one of Georgia’s most powerful traditional dances. As rehearsals progress, movement becomes inseparable from memory and the choreography carries the accumulated experience of a lifetime. The documentary observes a final artistic act in which dance becomes a means of preserving personal and collective heritage.

Ani Jgenti is a Georgian filmmaker working primarily in documentary cinema. Her work has been presented at international documentary and short-film platforms, including the TRT International Documentary Awards. In The Last Khorumi, she turns her attention to Georgian dance and cultural memory, observing the relationship between an artist, tradition, and the passing of time.
