Synopsis
Twelve-year-old Deniz and her best friend Umut escape from school to an abandoned swimming pool on a hill, their private refuge from the rules of the outside world. But when Deniz tries to join the boys playing football, she is rejected for being different, while an attempt to fit in with the girls leaves her equally isolated. Caught between worlds, she retreats into imagination, where an impossible childhood dream takes on a new and bittersweet meaning.

Dalya Keleş
Dalya Keleş is a Turkish director and screenwriter, born in Mersin in 2001. She studied Radio, Television and Cinema at Kadir Has University and began her creative career through theatre, photography, and short filmmaking. Gravity, her first major short film, had its world premiere in the Generation Kplus competition of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival. Her work focuses on childhood, identity, belonging, and the fragile transition into adolescence.
