Synopsis

Eric lives in a juvenile detention centre and dreams of repairing his relationship with his mother so that he can return to live with her when he turns eighteen. When she fails to appear for a scheduled visit, he secretly escapes and goes to her home. There he discovers that time outside the institution has moved on without him — his mother has built another family and a life in which he no longer knows where he belongs.

Fran Moreno Blanco and Santi Pujol Amat are Spanish filmmakers and cinematographers, both born in 2000 and graduates of the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC). They work together as a directing and cinematography duo. Rage, their graduation film, reflects their shared interest in naturalistic cinema, nonprofessional performers, and stories drawn from emotionally complex family relationships and the search for a place to belong.
