Synopsis
Returning from a party, Zohreh discovers that her friend Saghar possesses a perfect android copy of herself. Saghar uses the replica to escape the controlling gaze of her husband and experience moments of freedom without being discovered. Fascinated by the possibilities the technology offers, Zohreh begins to imagine what a duplicate could change in her own life, raising unsettling questions about freedom, identity, trust, and the boundary between human beings and their copies.
Mohammad Rahmati
Mohammad Rahmati is an Iranian writer and director working in short fiction cinema and also active as an instructor with the Iranian Youth Cinema Society. His science-fiction drama High Copy received the Best Adapted Screenplay award and further recognition in the adaptation section of the Tehran International Short Film Festival. Rahmati uses genre elements and new technology as a way of exploring contemporary relationships, freedom, family, and social control.
